For our second wedding anniversary, we decided to celebrate in Desaru and chose to stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Desaru. The hotel was highly recommended by friends, and its location made it an ideal base for exploring the area.
Situated just a 6-minute drive from the Desaru Fruit Farm and a 15-minute drive to the water theme park, the hotel offers convenience and comfort, including a free shuttle service to the theme park which we greatly appreciate for its safety and ease!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly and professional staff who made us feel exceptionally welcome. This warm reception set the tone for our entire stay. We had the opportunity to tour the hotel and see its range of accommodations, including 311 rooms which consist of 14 family rooms. The family rooms are particularly attractive, featuring a tent set up inside the room to provide added fun for children!

The team went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, starting with a lovely room set up to celebrate our anniversary. Our premier room was had balloons and swan towels, creating a romantic atmosphere!

In the evening, after our dinner, the room was set up beautifully for us, with floor towels beside each side of the bed, warm lights, and bottles of water with glasses placed thoughtfully by the bedside.

The Swimming Pool and Gym
One of the highlights of our stay was the hotel’s swimming pool. Unlike typical pools, this one is chlorine-free and uses saltwater, providing a unique and pleasant swimming experience. It was my first time swimming in a fully salted pool, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would say that it is great for families who have children with sensitive skin!
The hotel’s gym is well-equipped and perfect for maintaining fitness routines while traveling. It was spacious, and clean, and featured a range of modern exercise equipment, ensuring we could keep up with our workouts even during our holiday.

Our culinary experiences at the Four Points by Sheraton Desaru were the highlights of the trip. The breakfast buffet was a delightful start to our days, with the roti canai being a standout – it quickly became my favorite dish.

The staff were attentive, accommodating, and went out of their way to ensure we had a perfect anniversary celebration. Whether it was the room decoration, arranging transportation, providing dining recommendations, or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, their commitment to guest satisfaction was evident!
