In celebration of 110 years of International Women’s Day (IWD), the first-ever #FeelGoodFestival kicked off on 8 March 2021 with a media preview session, hosted in an intimate garden oasis by Cote Mi Nam (@coteminam.sg) – a newly opened one-of-a-kind lifestyle salon.

With this year’s IWD theme set as ‘Choose To Challenge’, women of all walks of lives are encouraged to stand tall with confidence as they strive towards inclusivity in our society.

Confidence is exactly what the #FeelGoodFestival was set out for, as the five female-empowering brands treated The Ladies Cue to a series of pampering sessions for our team to feel as good as we look!

Relax, Rejuvenate And Recharge

Inspired by the concept of 꽃미남 (kkotminam), which directly translates to “True Flower Boy,” Initia’s Korean-themed hair salon Cote Mi Nam is devoted to providing a unique floral hair experience delivered ‘Oppa’ stylists. Additionally, we were pampered by the rest of the female-led brands – Liht Organics (@lihtorganics), meeth (@meethglobal), DMK (@dmkshoes), The Dress Alley (@thedressalley) and LeCaine Gems (@lecainegems).

“One of the most important traits of women is confidence. We at Initia strive to look good with CoteMinam with good looking ‘Oppa’ hairstylists. When you feel good or look good, it will boost your self-confidence.” – Nicole Lee, Cote Mi Nam’s PR Director

Local footwear brand DMK unveiled a row of comfortable yet chic sneakers from their latest #FeelGood sneaker collection. The #FeelGood campaign spotlighted powerful female campaign ambassadors including Youtuber and podcaster Brenda Tan, model Ann Lopez, content creators Jessica Tham and Soniya Asyira Arman.

In addition, DMK has of the sales proceeds from the #feelgoodDMK collection will go towards The Star Shelter Fund, a temporary refuge for women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence. Through the month-long campaign, DMK hopes that by having women speak up and bring attention to the cause, other women will be inspired to courageously move on from their predicament.

Natural, guilt-free makeup Singaporean brand Liht Organics touched base with organic makeup to nourish the lips with its colour intense liquid lipstick while luxury skincare brand meeth offered timeless solutions of Japanese skincare products with its moisturising Morerich Essential Lotion made with purified deep seawater from Hokkaido and rich with natural minerals.

Next up, homegrown fashion brand The Dress Alley displayed a string of gorgeous pastel-themed pieces from its brand new collection, featuring the Clara Wrap dress in mint and yellow colours, the Coco 2-Way crop top in black and nude colours, as well as the Daisy Romper in blue and pink colours.
