Meet Diana Lai (Bunny Lashes)
What got you started on your business?Ā
When I was facing a difficult pregnancy, I realized I wanted the flexibility of work and my kids. Bunny Lashes help anyone to grow their lashes longer and healthier. We detox and lift the skin with our signature facial gua sha tool.
Before you started on your business, what did you do on a full-time basis?
Before I started my business, I was an Accountant.
What were some difficulties you faced in your life and how did you overcome them?
When I had to give up my full-time job due to a challenging pregnancy. I talk to my family and with their support, I resign and was put on total bed rest. Days were spent reading up on ladies who pursue their passion and having young families. I decided I wanted to be one of them and started taking up eyelash extensions course and diploma in beauty therapy. 7 years down, I am still enjoying every minute of my role as a founder of an award-winning beauty salon.
Who inspires you?
Humble and motivated individuals.
What is your vision / personal motto?Ā
To continue to bring customized services and products to my customers.
Never stop thriving and pay it forward.
Do you have any word of advice for other ladies who are starting their business/ starting to pursue their dream?
Always remember your WHY and hustle till you make it.
How do you think you can help ladies to feel confident and empowered?
Why I decide to be a beautician that start work at 8.30 am. I want SAHM to know they are fully capable of looking and feeling good. While the kids are at school, they can have self-care at Bunny Lashes.
What have you learned recently that you hope the other ladies can take back?
That we should look at every crisis as an opportunity to change our mindset, biz and always be kind.
What is one thing you are grateful for?
Good health so I can continue to do what I do.
What do you do in your free time as self-care? How do you unwind?
Yoga, reading and slow walks.
