Tell us a little about yourself. What is your business/brand about?
At Speech Titans, we believe in a holistic approach to honing communication and presentation skills. By employing fun and targeted methods tailored to specific age groups (from youth to adults), students will be well-equipped with the knowledge of Public speaking and effective communication skills.
What got you started on your business?
My twin sister and I started the business because we believe that self-confidence and effective communication skills are the keystones of achieving impactful success. Thus, we designed foundation and master classes to impart a plethora of valuable skills and techniques, all while keeping classes small to ensure individualised attention.
Before you started on your business, what did you do on a full-time basis?
I was an English Teacher:)

What were some difficulties you faced in your life and how did you overcome them?
Pursuing your dreams is not the easiest path to take as there will be naysayers who will undoubtedly judge your decision to do so. It is important to believe in yourself and surround yourself with supportive people who have your best interests at heart.
Who inspires you?
My Mother and twin sister, Carmen. Both are incredibly strong women and I’m truly blessed to have them in my life.

What excites you most about your industry?
Being given the chance to help individuals grow into more confident versions of themselves.
What is your vision / personal motto?
To lead an impactful life and to always be kind.
Do you have any word of advice for other ladies who are starting their business/ starting to pursue their dream?
Starting your business is not going to be an easy journey. Remind yourself that every problem carries the seeds of opportunity to learn and do not get demoralized or fixate on mistakes.
What have you learnt recently that you hope the other ladies can take back?
Nothing in life has happened to you. It’s happened to you. Every closed door has helped make you into who you are:)
How do you think you can help ladies to feel confident and empowered?
I believe it is important to surround yourself with people who support you. Joining CRIB, a social enterprise that empowers women was incredibly enlightening for me as they give women the opportunities to become successful entrepreneurs through networking opportunities, business matching, and professional development.

What is one thing you are grateful for?
I’m grateful for my family and their support.
What do you do in your free time as self-care? How do you unwind?
I spend time with my dogs- Coco, Bam Bam, and Katsu! Reading a good book helps me to unwind as there are many lessons we can take away from the crisply bound pages of a well-written novel.
