Getting to Know The Ladies Cue
In a blink of an eye, it has been 3 months since the rebranding of The Ladies Cue. For those who are new to us, The Ladies Cue is a lifestyle community for ladies by ladies. We are an online and offline platform created to support ladies through the different stages of life.
The Brains Behind The Ladies Cue: Melissa (COO) and Jenny (CEO and Founder)
In today’s society, ladies are well known to be multi takers. A Mother, A Daughter, A Wife, A Sister, A Friend and A Career Lady. According to a research study by AWARE Singapore, caregiving, domestic work and family responsibilities overwhelmingly fall on ladies. 78% of prime working-age ladies quoted family responsibilities as the main reason why they do not return back to work. The societal expectations of ladies are causing much emotional and physical stress, leaving little room for self-care and self love.
The Ladies Cue has been brainstorming with different ideas to gather women and to design events that can help to educate and empower women. To better serve the ladies community from all walks of life in Asia, The Ladies Cue prompts the ladies to support and empower each other. The ladies will “cue” each other in the journey towards true happiness, self-care and self-love.
The Ladies Cue hopes to adequately address the needs of the ladies from different backgrounds: Single or married ladies, full-time mothers, stay-at-home mothers, mompreneurs etc. Initiatives will be carried out through various channels. revolving around personal development; holistic health and wellness; beauty and fashion etc.
The Ladies Cue Media Launch
The launch of The Ladies Cue was celebrated on 25 October 2019. The key highlight to the Media Launch was the Dialogue on the topic of “Know Your Worth“.

Jenny Lee
Jenny Lee is the Founder & CEO of The Ladies Cue with over 20 years of experience in the B2C and B2B marketing and business development for the parenting, beauty and lifestyle industries. She is passionate in helping startups and SMEs to grow their businesses.
Prior to starting out on her own, Jenny has worked in Mediacorp as a Senior Business Manager and has managed a large portfolio of clients in the Asian region. Her wealth of knowledge and extensive network in the media and publishing industry is truly a force to be reckoned with. She was also recently nominated as one of the ambassadors for the Female Entrepreneurs Day.
Jenny is happily married and a mother of 2 kids. She also enjoys empowering women to unleash their full potential through healthy, harmonious and well balanced lifestyle choices.
Alia Demelda Sharma
Alia D is the Creator & Owner of “It’s a Wrap” head wraps.
It’s a Wrap is created to inspire women across generations and cultures to be confident and bold in expressing their individuality through a fashion style that has been around for centuries.
Alia D is also the General Manager of Artemis Communications Pte Ltd that runs The Emcee Academy by the Flying Dutchman. She is also a professional Singer/ Entertainer/ Host/ Entertainment Performance coach and has been invited to perform all over the world. She has also worked with many international artiste like CoCo Lee, Anita Sarawak.
She is a devoted wife and mother to 2 boys age 12 and 2.
Gayathri Segaran
Gayathri Segaran is a talented lady who wears multiple hats: an educator; a TV/theatre actress on both Vasantham and Channel 5; a host; a dancer; a Mathematician. As someone highly passionate in the arts industry, she pursues her interest by performing on both television and theatre bilingually. She even won Best Actress during Vasantham’s Pradhana Vizha 2018 awards ceremony. She constantly works towards being the best version of herself.
She enjoys working with children and young adults and feels strongly towards female empowerment. You may find her familiar looking as she appeared in the video as one of the 12 ladies during the rebranding to The Ladies Cue.
Michelle Hon
Michelle Hon a.k.a @thechillmom is the founder of Asia’s No. 1 Mompreneur Programme, Momboss Academy that empowers moms to start and grow their dream business from home. She is an author, speaker and podcaster and has been featured on The Vulcan Post, Asian Money Guide, The Singapore Women’s Weekly, SingSaver and more.
The Chill Mom – a motherhood lifestyle blog which provides pregnancy, self-care, children development and mumpreneurship resources for mothers. She believes motherhood is the most beautiful and rewarding experience for a woman.Therefore she is on a mission to empower and support every mother to be confident in their role, live their dream motherhood and be an inspiration to their children.

The dialogue was held in Made in Orient @ Chef Avenue, a Hidden Gem in Tai Seng (3 mins walk from 18 Tai Seng Street). We are so blessed with good and insta-worthy food specially customised just for The Ladies Cue!
Tour by Chef Avenue
The Media Launch began with Chef Avenue’s tour where we got to understand more about the 9 food stalls in Chef Avenue Singapore. This “Hipster style” food street welcomes everyone from young to old. Moreover, cashless payment method is encouraged. We could either purchase our Store Value Card or pay via Nets. Isn’t it cool?
The food tour ended with the help of our friends from the media where music was made with the guidance and help from Beat a Box! There is no better way to bring people closer together through the most universal language, and that is music!
We also celebrated the birthdays of the October babies! Thank you Janel and Hannah (who also flew in specially for us from Kuala Lumpur) for spending your actual birthday with us! And also thank you Karin for buying the cake for The Ladies Cue!
