On top of collaborating with the Mouth Foot Painting Association (MFPA) for the virtual Art Charity Auction that is happening between 4th – 14th March 2022, Limitless is also collaborating with an extensive list of talented artists from across Singapore to sell artworks during the virtual auction.
Limitless has reached out to the young and talented artists in Singapore and has secured fine talents in participating in the auction. Their talents range from contemporary art to art practitioners to tattoo artists to potters, with Limitless believing there are no boundaries to the world of art.
Introducing the first young artist who is participating in this auction, Christine Lok is a young contemporary artist based in Singapore. Her artworks provide an insightful perspective into the frequently overlooked beauty in our daily lives. Through highlighting the subtle details, she creates worlds that allow the viewer to become a voyeur into lives free from societal expectations, social stigmas, and existential anxieties. In contrast, as she builds her artistic methodology, she hopes to raise awareness and provide new perspectives into deeper social issues, utilizing her multidisciplinary approach.
Christine has submitted 4 paintings for this auction, and 40% of her proceeds will go to Limitless.
Next on the list of many talented artists is Kayleigh Goh. Born in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, Kayleigh uses predominantly cement and wood for her art. This is a highly sophisticated method to create a sense of serenity. In the fast-paced life of the city, she allows us access to metaphysical space where we can safely unpack unresolved emotions of despair and it offers a temporary escape from the complexities and incongruities in life. Kayleigh is currently an independent art practitioner based in both Singapore and Malaysia. She received her BA (Fine Arts) from Singapore Lasalle College of the Arts in 2016 and has participated in various group shows in Singapore and Malaysia. She held her first solo show at Gajah Gallery Singapore in October 2018 and her second show at Gajah Gallery Yogyakarta in February 2020. Currently, she is completing her MA in Contemporary Arts at VCA, University of Melbourne.
Kayleigh has submitted 1 painting for this auction, and 67% of her proceeds will go to Limitless.
As a visual contemporary artist, Odelia Yen, born 1993, has diverse interests in both arts and sciences as she strongly feels that both complement one another, and her fervent passion drove her to pursue an education in both fields. In 2013, she received her Diploma in Nursing from Nanyang Polytechnic, and in 2017, she pursued a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts at Lasalle College of the Arts. She exhibited numerous times at McNally and Winstedt Campuses for various important occasions during the course of her studies. In 2020, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Fine Arts. Additionally, she designed a logo for the Ministry of Health in 2015 titled “The Nursing Odyssey – Celebrating 130 Years”
and illustrated a part of “Ethnic Consideration in Facial Plastic Surgery” in Thieme’s Publications in 2014.
Odelia has submitted 3 paintings for this auction, and 50% of her proceeds will go to
On top of the different medium artists, Limitless is also collaborating with tattoo artists across the country!
Based in Singapore, award-winning artist John Paul Cheng travels around the world to explore different countries and cultures. He enjoys meeting people from all over and collaborating with his clients to create one-of-a-kind, personalized custom tattoos. He believes that every client who trusts him with their skin is a privilege, especially when the tattoo holds a deeper symbolism to the client. Whether it’s a memorial or a celebration design, he is stoked to be part of the process, fusing his flair with their ideas.
John Paul has submitted 2 paintings for the auction, and 100% of his proceeds from Pop Art Mick and 60% of his proceeds from OD will go to Limitless.
Another tattoo artist participating in the auction is Ael Lim. He owns Imagine Tattoo Studio Singapore which is located in the heart of Chinatown at 3B Trengganu Street. Known for his amazing realism work, Ael has been tattooing since 2007. He mentioned, “Being born and raised in Singapore, tattooing has become increasingly popular amongst people of many age groups. These days, due to the influence of social media and the internet, I get more clients from other countries, on top of my pool of local clients. I find this amazing, especially as I haven’t traveled much to overseas tattoo conventions. It is always more refreshing to have new waves of tattoo requests from overseas. It is really moving when customers arrange to fly in, to make getting a tattoo from me a major priority in their travel plans.”
Ael has submitted 3 paintings for the auction, and 100% of his proceeds will go to
The Art Charity Auction is not only limited to paintings but pottery too! Driven and passionate by nature, Priscilla Diana studies in arts management at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and has engaged in a multitude of programs in the wide variety of art forms. As a strong advocate for mental health, she believes in the power of arts to bridge differences. Recently, she has discovered her interest in pottery and has been practicing for over a year. Inspired by her favorite song “Drown” by Bring Me The Horizon, Priscilla dedicates two pottery pieces for the auction, naming them after the lyrics. Her pieces are not trimmed at the bottom. Potters usually trim the bottom to remove any excess clay and to further shape the vessel into the desired shape and look. Deciding to not trim excess clay off makes the pieces heavier than they seem. Priscilla’s belief is that as humans, we need to learn how to “trim” off things that are not beneficial to our mental health and let them go.
Priscilla has submitted two pottery pieces for the auction, and 50% of her proceeds will go to Limitless.
