Sixth Avenue Porky Prawn Noodle 第六道豚蝦麵 is a hidden food spot in Sixth Avenue not to be missed! It is a food stall located just a few minutes short walk from Sixth Avenue MRT station.

Store Front

A solid selection of mixed varieties of Prawn Noodles with or without different tender Pork cuts and Pork Soup series at affordable prices. There’s even a Braised Pork Rice and Vegetables set! It is recommended to try the Mixed Porky Prawn Noodles for the best combo! I love how clear its menu is and all the prices of additional ingredients are clearly shown for ease of ordering.

Simmered for 14 hours using prawn heads, we could smell the rich aroma of the traditional prawn broth while standing at the stall front and as soon as we locked in our orders, the chef quickly prepares our meal in a skillful manner.

Both the soup and dry based Signature Prawn Noodles are great, depending on individual preferences! Prawns were served fresh and cut in halves. It also includes a few huge Prawn Paste! Many patrons go for its Dry Signature Prawn Noodles with the fried scallions atop (lots of crunch) and specially mixed sauce (slightly spicy) at the bottom. To get the best of both, I love my Prawn Noodles in the Dry version and then pouring in the soup for the most umami flavour!

Prawn paste with soup was pretty special as we hardly see this dish elsewhere. It was a good size prawn paste with the rich broth for the price and great to go with the rice set!

Comfort food – Tender Braised Pork Rice with Braised Egg was saucy and flavourful as well.

The portion of the Kang Kong Vegetable was a plate full and delicious, which pairs really well with our mains. I find myself snacking on it during the entire mealtime. Just look at how beautiful this plate of generous Kang Kong vegetable is!
