Moleskine Singapore today announced the launch of its annual Spring Collection, the Sakura 2022 Limited Edition Collection. Honoring the Hanami season, Moleskine has collaborated with Japanese textile designer, Yuri Himuro, to showcase the beauty of creation with the Sakura 2022 collection.

Taking inspiration from Ueno Park, a favorite Tokyo cherry blossom viewing spot, where
Himuro walks her dog, she incorporated the fleeting yet inevitable changes that reside in all of us, similar to how the Sakura petals blossom and flutter to the ground with grace. Himuro embraces the significance of Wabi-Sabi – a Japanese idea of embracing the slightest imperfections and irregularities as beauty, not faults.

(S$37), A5-sized 18-month diary (available only in May 2022), pocket-sized 18-month diary (available in May

Available at Moleskine Paragon, the Sakura 2022 Collection currently features notebooks of
various designs and sizes with different elements that tell the story of Ueno Park. Coming
together seamlessly, they are collectively akin to a beautiful puzzle that inspires the
imagination and recollection of the stunning Sakura season.

Wrapped in Yuri Himuro’s signature design style, the Sakura Collector’s Box is also adorned
with SNIP SNAP fabric – a fabric of two layers, the first of which can be cut to reveal colours and woven images hidden underneath that complement the original design. The collection will also include two signature 18-month planners, which will be launched in 2022.

Commenting on the inspiration behind her designs for Moleskine’s Sakura 2022 collection,
Yuri Himuro, a Japanese textile designer, said “Getting dressed or making a sandwich are
acts of creativity; so is discovering a mathematical formula or conceiving a business plan,
creativity is endless and universal. Just like the Hanami season, we are reminded that all
things are fleeting but there is something special about change since it’s the only one that is consistent.” This is a vision that is in line with Moleskine’s aims to encourage and unleash
creativity through its various offerings.
