What is Potenza?
The Potenza microneedling radiofrequency (RF) treatment is a customizable solution for skin problems such as acne scars, reduces stretch marks, reduces open pores, reduces blemishes and minimizes the common signs of aging.
The Potenza microneedling treatment uses ultrafine needles to penetrate the top layer of the skin and then RF energy is released from the microneedles directly into the areas of concern on the skin and trigger the body’s natural healing process to regenerate new collagen and elastin. Because the RF energy is delivered so deeply, it can produce faster, more dramatic results with much less downtime.

Our Founder & CEO of The Ladies Cue, Jenny Lee, has been seeking treatment from The Artisan Clinic for her stubborn marks and melasma on her skin, which includes her own customized Potenza microneedling treatment.
With The Artisan Clinic’s premium numbing cream applied to her face, there was minimal discomfort throughout the procedure. As this treatment is not a laser, unlike some other skin revitalization treatments, it can be performed on all skin types, anywhere on the body, and at any time of the year. This also makes it safe even for darker-skin patients.

As Jenny has very sensitive skin, it was easy for her skin to turn red as shown in the photo above. However, it is worth noting that it is normal for redness to occur due to contraction of blood vessels during the procedure. After the treatment which lasted 30 to 45 minutes, it took Jenny about 3 days for the redness to subside. Results were visible three weeks later, with an evidently lifted face and younger, revitalized skin.

Additionally, Potenza is the world’s first microneedling system that combines monopolar and bipolar RF at 1MHz or 2MHz frequencies in a single device.
Monopolar RF provides deeper heat penetration and gives a “facelift” effect without the downtime, swelling, pain and discomfort of a thread lift. Bipolar RF is ideal for overall skin revitalisation. Best for acne scars, stretch marks, textural issues like open pores.
Currently, besides Potenza, there is no microneedling RF machine available that can do both acne scar/stretch marks resurfacing and face lifting/skin tightening all at the same time.
