It has always been a concern for people who are looking for conducive environment to do their work. Starbucks and Coffee Bean are always crowded, and where else can we find a space with coffee or food available and a strong WiFi to do our work? Renting a co-working space has lately been the trend.

On 18th July, Cathay Organisation has unveiled a new space designed to reinvigorate the co-working scene in Singapore. Situated in the vibrant Robertson Quay neighbourhood, GATHER aims to create a community of like-minded individuals and bring renewed inspiration to their work by offering a holistic space that prioritises health and wellbeing.

The pet-friendly conducive working space prioritises the wellbeing of its members through a unique and engaging programme of lifestyle offerings. This brings together an eclectic mix of media and creative professionals, technopreneurs, makers and side-hustlers.

“GATHER was designed to create an environment that encourages balance, combining a traditional workplace with lifestyle and social benefits. The use of colours and textures creates a sense of calm and elegance, with punchy design accents to offer talking points and encourage conversation.” Said Mr Marc Webb and Mr Takenouchi Webb who is also the designer of GATHER. He is the man responsible for a slew of establishments across the city, including The Straits Clan, Esora, and The Tippling Club.

A networking area within the co-working space

GATHER creates a softer workplace through open spaces and maximised ceiling heights, while using full-length windows to allow natural light to shine in and welcome the surrounding greenery. By looking into a selection of earthy pinks, whites, and light wood colours to complement the use of natural marbles and stronger terrazzo tones, it brings relaxation to the members. Whilst the design of the workspaces was kept relatively simple, a heavier focus was placed on the key communal areas, where more impactful materials were used, with brass elements punctuating the social setting.

Putting modern-day business in mind, GATHER offers a host of workplace options, from fully-furnished offices to bespoke suites and event spaces workshops, sessions activities. A total of 12 offices range in occupancy from 6 to 40 people. On level 3, all spaces are fully furnished, with private offices suitable for up to 8 people. On levels 4 and 5, bespoke options offer freedom and flexibility for individuals to customise their own office space and layout, whilst still benefitting from the various perks of a GATHER membership. Larger office spaces on these floors are able to accommodate businesses of up to 40 employees.

Not only that, GATHER also offers a range of services, including 24 hour access, high speed WIFI, registered business address, printing and scanning, meeting rooms, mail handling and management, phone booths, bar and pantry, shower facilities and even daily housekeeping. This brings convenience for their members to a new level, differentiating it from other co-working spaces in Singapore.

“Robertson Quay is the natural home for GATHER, which applauds community spirit and priorities the physical and mental wellbeing of its members. The wealth of lifestyle establishments in the neighbourhood create a real sense of community, which we are delighted to be a part of.” Said by GATHER spokesman.

Holding the wellbeing of its members in high regard, GATHER has partnered with several establishments in and around Robertson Quay, offering exclusive benefits for members with Orange Theory Fitness, Absolute You and F45, amongst others. The new co-working space will also play host to regular networking and community-based events, offering members the opportunity to expand their network, learn new skills, and embrace a more social work life.
