I remembered that my partner introduced me to herbal bak kut teh when we went to JB together many years back, and I fell in love with the herbal style of bak kut teh! I had never been a fan of bak kut teh because what we had here in Singapore was mainly the peppery kind of bak kut teh, so I had never had cravings for Bak Kut Teh until I met Feng Xiang – Food Republic @Vivocity!
Featuring the Klang style Bak Kut Teh, Feng Xiang also serves other Malaysian dishes such as dry Bak Kut Teh and Fried porridge. I do love porridge and hence their menu certainly has piqued my interest!
I asked for their signature dishes so oh my, I had a spree!

Look at their herbal Bak Kut Teh! The taste is rather mild but rich! The soup is prepared using quality herbs and stew for long hours to bring out the flavours. I was told that there’s no MSG added too, which is a bonus to me! Their Bak Kut Teh is packed with pork ribs, pork belly, tau pok, and my favourite beancurd skin! I had a bowl of dough fritters to complete it! How can you have it without dough fritters you tiao anyways?! You need it to complete the meal!

Next, we have the frog legs fried porridge! Yummy, delicious, awesome… I can’t find any other words to describe it any more. It’s simply finger-licking good! They are pretty generous with the frog legs as well. My mom, who loves frog legs, gave her 5 stars approval too! The Wok Hei flavour is definitely strong here and you really can’t afford to miss this if you are visiting here! The charred savouriness will lingers in your taste bud!
