Live with No Excuses and Travel with No Regrets.
Sydney, The Harbour City.
Sydney is such an easy city to get around, with the metropolitan area servicing a great network of public transport, roadways and walking paths! Among other hotels close to Sydney airport, Citadines Connect Sydney Airport is surrounded by the business parks of Alexandria, Botany, Mascot and Waterloo, The Lakes and The Australian golf clubs.
Located in Mascot, it is a great choice for travellers who are interested in tourist attractions, beaches and scenery. Citadines Connect Sydney Airport is the gateway to experiencing Sydney’s natural beauty, famous sights and ever-changing culture.
Citadines Connect Sydney Airport is an airport hotel unlike one I had ever experienced before. From the moment I entered the hotel, I was transported to the glamorous bygone era of air travel – bright pops of pastel colours alongside smooth woods and polished metal finishes which showcased the most perfect blend of modern chic and retro cool.
The hotel is cleverly designed with both leisure and business travellers in mind. Honestly, it is an extremely great design for a person like me, with the current lifestyle that I have. And I know so many ladies who would love a concept like this! I have to say, this airport hotel is one that I would want to spend more time in (instead of sight seeing) even though I had travelled more than 10 hours to explore a different country! There is no issue for me to just hibernate in this beautiful building!
Since the airport is just a 15 minute walk away, it is the perfect stay for anyone to enjoy the evening without having a rush before checking out the next day for an early morning flight. (I checked out at 7am to catch my flight to Melbourne. So that extra sleep helped a lot because I would have to wake up much earlier if I stayed in the city.)
My cousin and I checked in at the top of the building via the Penthouse Reception (how cool is that!). Because I loved aeroplanes so much, I had never felt this excited! My check in process took a little longer than usual due to the view that the Penthouse Reception provided. It has the skyline and bird’s eye view of the Sydney’s airport. Watch it below to understand more!
I could sit all day at the Penthouse lobby and stare at the aeroplanes on the runway. Just like a fashion runway, there are so many “models” of different shapes, sizes, colours and structures.
The penthouse space also features a stylish cocktail bar, a refresh and recharge area, a business centre, Grab & Go dining options, meeting facilities, a heated outdoor terrace and Sydney’s only hotel rooftop cinema! If you are looking for a place to chill, to relax, to even work on the go, this is the place to be!
During my stay at the boutique hotel, I shopped at the 24-hour ‘Grab & Go’ food shop daily. It offers a range of hot and cold, locally-sourced meals (a selection of self-serve gourmet meals) as well as classic cocktails or craft beers.
Citadines Connect Sydney Airport offers 150 rooms available in Economy, Premium Economy, Business or First Class. The First Class room that we had a great stay in was a vast 40 sqm of space to lounge in.
Our room of this is fitted with mid-century modern furnishings off-set by a colour palate of sunset pink, peppermint and powder blue. There are bathrobes and slippers, black-out curtains, a desk, a hairdryer and in-room safe.
My favourite part of the room is it’s high ceilings and large windows with expansive views of the city. The bedroom boast a separate lounge area, divided by a super large TV (equipped with Netflix streaming) which swivels 360 degrees to face the couch or the bed.
The bathroom has double sinks, a large walk in shower and a freestanding soaking bathtub – all fitted with retro copper taps! I am sure by now you will know how obsessed I am with vintage styles. You will not be able to imagine how crazy I got when I saw the design of the bathroom! The bathroom is perfect for a relaxing soak after a busy day or meetings, travel or even sightseeing!
Corridor outside my room is spacious and the carpet has such bright colours, I cannot help by feel positive every time I stepped out of my room! I would love to come back again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND to those who have a short stay in Sydney before exploring other parts of Australia! I hope you enjoy the video my cousin Yvonne has put up to allow you to explore Citadines Sydney Airport Hotel along with us! For more information, head over to www.citadines.com !
