POSB PRESENTS #HUNTYOURZODIAC
At this year’s River Hongbao (RHB), key sponsor POSB is proud to bring you #HuntYourZodiac – a virtual game that integrates elements of augmented reality to transform The Float @ Marina Bay into a virtual playground. Using your mobile device, simply follow the visual cues and walk around the premises on a virtual hunt for the 12 Chinese zodiac animals hidden within.
Catch a zodiac animal to receive a dedicated Chinese horoscope prediction based on your birth date: Are you a Water Dragon, a Metal Rat, or a Fire Monkey? There are 60 predictions to be unveiled. If you’re lucky, the zodiac animal you caught may be carrying an angbao – redeem this at the POSB booth for a prize!
Designed by POSB & Sqkii, and the first of its kind to be introduced at River Hongbao, #HuntYourZodiac seeks to deliver an immersive, fun and engaging experience for families and friends of all ages to play together this Chinese New Year! I had tried it and it was so engaging! It made the whole RHB experience adventurous!
How to play
• Visit the game website at go.posb.com.sg/HuntYourZodiac and log in via Facebook
• Walk around The Float, and observe visual cues on the website indicating your proximity to a zodiac animal
• If you’re having trouble finding a zodiac animal, get a power-up by completing POSB Smiley’s special challenges (Tip: Power-ups will magically attract the zodiac animals to you!)
• Once a zodiac animal has been hunted, you can view the Chinese horoscope predictions for that zodiac
• If your zodiac animal carries an angbao with it, head over to the POSB booth to redeem a prize
I caught a zodiac animal with a red packet. What do I do?
Congratulations! Tap on the link shown in the dialog box to obtain your angbao barcode. Once done, head over to the POSB booth with the angbao barcode to redeem for a prize. Please note that the angbao barcode is only valid on the day you received it, and must be redeemed within the same day.
What makes these Chinese horoscope predictions special?
Did you know? Zodiac animals alone do not complete your Chinese horoscope prediction. #HuntYourZodiac offers dedicated predictions based not only on your zodiac animal, but also the zodiac element (metal, wood, fire, water, earth) corresponding to your birth date.
Not sure what your zodiac element is? Enter your birth date at our game website to find out!
I would like to hunt for a different zodiac animal. What should I do?
If you wish to hunt for other zodiac animals, close the dialog box and continue walking around – you can figure out which zodiac animal is nearby based on the silhouette located right beside POSB Smiley! You can also use the virtual map to find out roughly where the other zodiac animals may be hanging out.
