I am Germaine and my friend Andrea, are co-founders of DisruptHER for Women. We have been friends since we were 13, and stood by each other through every major life transition: love, motherhood, career pivots, health scares, and moments when we lost sight of who we were. Both of us have faced our own rock bottoms, only to realize that so many women around us were quietly struggling too. That shared truth inspired us to build DisruptHER for Women: a platform offering personal growth content, events, and a supportive community.

We believe every woman deserves the chance to rediscover her purpose, break free from limiting beliefs, and experience real, lasting breakthroughs. DisruptHER for Women is for women who juggle it all — those who want efficiency, connection, and a life that feels truly their own.

We both came from high-performance environments. Germaine built her early career in the oil and gas industry before transitioning into education and coaching. Andrea spent over a decade in investment banking, equity research and institutional sales, later shifting into entrepreneurship. We eventually co-founded this femtech startup together, which became the start of a deeper journey working with women.

DisruptHER for Women is a personal growth platform for women navigating real-life transitions. Through curated workshops, practical video courses, and an inclusive community, we help women grow in mind, body, career, wealth, relationships and intimacy to live with no regrets and reclaim their power, purpose, and potential.

DisruptHER for Women was born from a place of deep personal struggle. Both of us had reached moments where life seemed fine on the surface, but inside, we felt exhausted, lost, and uncertain about what came next. As we shared our stories, we discovered this was a shared experience among many women — yet few spaces existed to speak openly and honestly about it. That sparked our mission: to create a real, practical, and accessible community focused on the three pillars every woman navigates: Relationships & Intimacy, Mind & Body, and Career & Wealth.

Through our app, workshops, and events, we empower women to break free from limiting beliefs and embrace personal growth as a vital, non-negotiable part of their lives. DisruptHER for Women is about helping women lead fulfilled lives on their own terms, without sacrificing time or authenticity.

We’ve both faced burnout, self-doubt, and that unsettling feeling of “Is this it?” There were times we looked put-together on the outside but felt completely lost inside. Motherhood, while rewarding, also robbed our sense of self along the way. What got us through was having each other – someone to check in and to be honest with. We also leaned into personal growth tools that helped us reconnect with ourselves. That process of unlearning, healing, and realigning is what eventually shaped the heart of DisruptHER for Women – a personal growth platform for women in Asia built on honesty, growth, and doing life differently.

Women who choose courage over comfort, the ones who get back up, speak hard truths, and build with heart. For Germaine, it’s Michelle Obama. She admires the way she leads with strength and softness, grounded in purpose, family, and values. She represents the kind of leadership that makes space for grace and grit to coexist, something Germaine hopes to carry into her own work and life. For Andrea, Oprah Winfrey has always been a guiding light. Growing up with The Oprah Winfrey Show, she saw how Oprah turned her own struggles into a global movement, using her voice to inspire authenticity, resilience, and hope. Her journey is a reminder that we are not defined by our circumstances — they can fuel us to lift others and lead with purpose.

What excites us most is the shift we are witnessing: women are rejecting outdated definitions of success and choosing to lead their lives on their own terms. There is a growing hunger for deeper self-awareness, emotional wellness, and authentic connection — prioritizing clarity over constant performance. Even more inspiring is the rise of community over competition. This movement toward self-leadership and collective support is the future we are passionate about building.

“Re-ignite learning. Live life with no regrets!” Our vision is to leave behind a digital legacy that empowers women and girls across generations – to rise, reclaim their voice, and reinvent their own stories, on their own terms.

Self-care, for us, is about coming home to ourselves. Germaine finds clarity in solo time away from the daily noise, movement through running or dance, and journaling. Andrea unwinds with especially early mornings: coffee and a book, regular workouts, and a good massage. It’s not about luxury, it’s about intention.

We make growth practical and personal. Through our video courses (also known as MetaMissions) and workshops, we meet women where they are — navigating real, sometimes messy transitions. We help them pause, reflect, and reconnect with their own voice and body, rather than chasing external expectations. By normalizing every step of the journey and offering actionable tools, we empower women to move from simply surviving to leading as their full, unapologetic selves.

The women who trust us with their stories. Every time someone opens up about their journey, it reminds us why this work matters. It keeps us grounded and committed to creating spaces that feel safe and real.

You don’t need to have it all figured out to start. Begin where you are, not where you think you’re supposed to be. Progress beats perfection. And don’t wait for permission – your story, as it is right now, is already enough.

That growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s taking the first step, quiet decisions, private wins, or letting go of what no longer fits.
